This is the first of three TV movies complied from 50 episodes of the Gundam SEED: Special Edition series. They have been given the HD treatment and tweaks.
1. The Empty Battlefield (Kokuu no Senjou) compiled episodes 1–21 and is released on August 25th,
2. The Far-Away Dawn (Harukanaru Akatsuki) compiled episodes 22–40 and is released on September 08th,
3. The Rumbling Sky (Meidou no Sora) compiled episodes 41–50 and is released on September 22nd.
These special edition episodes feature some new scenes and tweaks to the animation and dub. Then there will be four Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny Special Edition films which will open on October 06th, October 20th, November 03rd, and November 17th, respectively
The Mobile Suit Gundam Seed FREEDOM film project will open in Japan on January 26, 2024.

Studio Trigger announced earlier this year that they would re-release the Gurren Lagann movies on their 15th anniversary in cinemas in Japan, the US, and Taiwan. There will be 2D and 4D editions and they have been re-edited and tweaked for their latest run.
Synopsis: After defeating the Spiral King and overcoming the threat of the Beastmen, humanity reclaimed the Earth. However, a new threat arises and Simon and Team Dai-Gurren assemble to fight it.

Teruyoshi Uchimura hails from Kumamoto Prefecture, the place struck by natural disasters over the last few years. For his first film in quite a while, he references that disaster and its affects and the renewal of hope through reconstruction in a story about the hopeful dances of high school students who are moving toward the future.
Lead actor Konatsu Shima appeared as part of a dance troupe on Uchimura’s variety show and Uchimura plays the role of her father.
Synopsis: High School girl Natsuko Kawabe is the leading member of the dance troupe and is deeply committed to a video project. Meanwhile, her father works for the city office and is tasked with rebuilding the city after it was flooded while also dealing with the sadness of seeing people leave. That sadness strikes close to home when Natsuko tells him that she wants to be a dancer in Tokyo after graduation.

This is the first-ever Japanese-Chilean co-production and it uses 3/11 and the afterlife as its story background.
Ignacio Ruiz is an animator by trade.
Synopsis: A 30-year old man named Kondo wakes up on an unfamiliar beach. He has reached the afterlife and he will meet many strange characters who help him understand where he is. Meanwhile, his father, still in the land of the living, feels regret over not having been able to do anything for his son and begins tracing his memories back to their shared past. The two come to terms with their situations.
