The theme of this film is newspapers and today’s society, where digitalization is increasing, newspaper subscriptions are decreasing, and there is information overload with a lot of bad information thrown in.
Synopsis: Kurumi and Naoki are high school seniors who will turn 18. Naoki gains fame for saving an elderly woman from an accident while Kurumi struggles to find what she should do with life until she engages with modelling.

This is part of a multimedia project where stage, manga, and film bring to life a story spanning 1000 years. The stage version depicts the Heian period, the manga version the Heian to Taisho periods, and the film version the present day, which is the final stage of the story.
Synopsis: In the Heian Period, Sosuke and Mitsukage gained immortality in exchange for the life of “Towa,” a descendant of mermaids. Sometimes, dead is better, and the despair of eternal life sets in on the two. Meanwhile, Towa is reincarnated as a different person. Sosuke and Mitsukage live together but Sosuke loses his memory. When getting counselling, Sosuke is told to adapt a recurring dream into a stage performance and, in his efforts, finds that he is gradually attracted to Mai, an aspiring actress who appears at an audition. It turns out that Mai is “Towa” reincarnated in the present day.

An independent production featuring the only film role of Shoji Kaneko, a theatre actor who wrote the screenplay. Kaneko passed away at the age of 33 shortly after the film’s release. It was directed by Toru Kawashima, a friend of Kaneko’s from school days. A new DCP was created to commemorate the 40th anniversary of its release.
Synopsis: Ryuji is a senior figure in a gang that owns a chunk of Kabukicho. Part of his hustle is running an illegal roulette parlour in his apartment. He becomes disenchanted with life in the underworld and decides to quit and get a job in a liquor store in order to live with his wife Mariko and their young daughter Aya. Going straight ain’t so easy.

Synopsis: Rikona was once a photographer in the Tohoku region studying under the tutelage of a more experienced one named Hiroshi. That is, until the Great East Japan Earthquake struck. It broke her family apart and now, as an adult, she is obsessed with creating an ideal family, much to the irritation of her husband, Tomohisa. That ideal floats further away when she learns of his infidelity and hears from Hiroshi that he is going to Belarus to cover the tense situation there. As she loses her husband and a man she considered someone akin to a father, she drives to the disaster-stricken area in Tohoku in search of answers.

Synopsis: This is an occult omnibus film from occult researcher and writer Ken Nakazawa. The film has two horror drama parts and three horror talk parts. There seems to be connecting story of visiting a temple and using a Jizo statue as a prop for a horror film.

Synopsis: Takeo Okayama is a detective in Yokohama and lives with his wife and Miori, the daughter of his brother. The reason he has guardianship of her is because his brother, Katsuya, had done a ten-year stint in the clink after accidentally killing a criminal while trying to protect his daughter from a robbery when Miori was young. While Miori begins to fantasise about the father she barely knows, Katsuya suffers from mental illness and alcoholism and struggles to get back into society. The only thing that keeps him alive is his wish to see Miori. Takeo doesn’t think it is the right time for that…
