I hope you are well.
I have not been feeling well these past couple weeks. Or the last seven moths, really. As a result, no posts. I hope to get some done next week and then maybe take a break again. Anyway, latest episode of Heroic Purgatory is here and it’s about Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and the first part of this week’s trailer post is here. The next Heroic Purgatory recording will remain in mainland China as it will be about Raise the Red Lantern.

Synopsis: This is the sixteenth entry in a series of films that bring the performances of Tetsuya Kumagawa’s K Ballet Company to the cinema screen. We get another rendition of the story of Romeo and Juliet, the classic story set in Renaissance-era Verona with the Montague and Capulet families and their feud ruining the romance for the titular Romeo and Juliet. This performance took place at Bunkamura Orchard Hall on March 19, 2022, and was recorded with a high-definition 4K camera. Juliet is played by Nozomi Iijima and Romeo is played by Masaya Yamamoto.
