To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first animated Lupin III film, we’re getting some re-releases ahead of a new TV anime (more details here) that gets released next week.

A short film produced by Monkey Punch, the author of the popular anime “Lupin the Third” character whose legendary big screen outing to the castle of Cagliostro gets a 4K re-release to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the original story. This plays alongside the feature.
Synopsis: Lupin, Jigen, and Goemon are lured to a race circuit by a mysterious letter sent by someone called Mr. X. They race using their trusty Fiat but enemies from their past appear to challenge the guys!

Synopsis: This is an animated film based Shinobu Sakagami’s book which is based on her own life with her beloved dog, an Italian greyhound named Riku. The film adds many episodes that were not included in the original story and offers a coterie of pets, including the chihuahua Tsutomu, the miniature dachshund Yousuke, the French bulldog Maruchan, and the pug Paguzоou, all of whom look after Riku.
